Assasination Time in Paul’s Brain

I’ve been rereading a book I read before moving to Washington, DC, two or so years ago called Assassination Vacation, by Sarah Vowell. Well, by rereading I mean that I am listening to the audio book in my car on my drives from Culver City, Calif., to Hollywood. It’s really a great read/listen about history and Vowell’s dark take on the lives of President’s Lincoln, McKinley, and Garfield as well as their assassins. Oh, I don’t want to give anything away but all three presidents died. Oops, sorry.

I am enjoying the back story on the assassins the most though. So much so that I stayed up late the other night looking up info on Lee Harvey Oswald, even turning to Hulu.com for cheesy documentaries from the History channel. I was trying to figure out what Oswald’s kids were doing now.

John Wilkes Booth didn’t have any kids and neither did Charles Giuteau (Garfield’s assassin). Mickinley’s assassin, Leon Czolgosz had kids but I’m less interested in whatever they did.
